Terms of service
Before an initial consultation, clients will be asked to sign a declaration indicating that they have read and understood the Terms and Conditions of Service and the Privacy Policy.
Trading Name
Curzons Speech Therapy is the trading name for a collaboration of Speech and Language Therapists working as Sole Traders.
Assessment and Therapy Sessions
Sessions will vary depending of the needs and levels of attention of the child.
Most sessions will last approximately 45 minutes to an hour.
Sessions will include liaisons time with parents, educational staff as appropriate.
Verbal feedback will be provided following the initial assessment and periodically thereafter.

Liaison with other professionals
Our Speech and Language Therapist will discuss your child’s needs with teaching staff and give advice regarding any targets/programmes or written reports, where these have been provided.
With your permission, they may share this with key professionals (such as a Community Pediatrician). They will also liaise with your local NHS Speech and Language Therapist, with your permission.
Opting Out
If, in the Speech and Language Therapists professional opinion, your child is no longer benefiting from therapy or needs a break, this will be discussed this with you. Similarly, you have the right to stop therapy at any time.
Payment
Prepayment is required for all assessments and EHCP Contributions, including travel costs, prior to the appointment.
Invoices must be paid upon receipt via bank transfer.
All invoices must be paid within 14 days of receipt.
An administration charge of £10 will be incurred for late payments.
Any claims from medical companies are the sole responsibility of the client.
Fees are within the guidelines recommended by the Association of Speech & Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP) which is approved by the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists (RCSLT).
Cancellation
A minimum 24 hour notice period to cancel appointments is required.
If a child is seen in school, it is the responsibility of the parent to notify the therapist of any absence from school.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may still be charged at the full rate. This includes appointments in schools and nurseries.
Repeat cancellations of appointments may result in suspension of services due to impact of efficacy of treatment.
Refunds will not be offered for late cancellations.
In the event that we need to cancel or reschedule, this will be done with as much notice as possible, with the appointment rearranged for the earliest opportunity or a full refund offered, if preferred.
Safeguarding
We will only share personal information with other Multi-Disciplinary Professionals involved such as GPs, Educational Psychologists and/or school staff with your consent.
In exceptional cases when there is a genuine concern for the safety and well-being of your child, it may be necessary to share information in the absence of consent.
Each therapist holds a valid Enhanced DBS certificate (formerly known as Criminal Records Bureau).

Every effort will be taken to provide and implement excellent evidence based care. However, no warranties can be made. An individual’s response may vary to intervention. Progress cannot be guaranteed and time frames for improvement may differ.
Progress will continually be monitored and discussed with the client and/or their parent/carer where appropriate.
Terms and conditions may be updated, new term available on request or via website.
Please note: It is your responsibility to update the therapist of any changes to personal information.
Recording and Photographing Sessions
In order to better understand a child’s abilities, parts of the assessment sessions may be recorded (both video and audio). This helps the therapist analyse the sessions in more detail later. Photos may also be taken to show activities in the program. These recordings and photos help track your child’s progress over time. Complaints Procedure
Any complaints or concerns should be discussed directly with your therapist in the first instance. If unresolved within 7 days, please contact:
